Call For Artists - Skatepark Mural Project
CLOSED FOR SUBMISSIONS
OVERVIEW
The Granby Public Art and Town Parks Committees invite local artists (including high school students) to add some color and flare to the non-skateable surfaces of the skatepark (for example the sides of ramps and rail features).
The overall theme of this project is skateboarding culture and lifestyle. We are open to all creative ideas but would like to remind artists that this is a public space, so artwork needs to be appropriate for all ages. Accent areas will be painted orange. We’d love to see some concepts that include the color orange (incorporated in whatever way, and as little or as much as you envision) to provide cohesiveness between the various artworks.
There are 6 different individual spaces and one long space that will be split into 4 sections. Up to ten artists in total will be selected. Please see mock-ups and measurements below. Artists may submit sketches for multiple locations.
